One of the added value services we offer is that of Access Database consultancy. Excel has been and continues to be the most popular package that we carry out training in. However sometimes Excel isn’t able to stretch to what you need it to do, this is where some find Access the package that can step in. Access can sometimes offer more options for what you are trying to create and develop as a database for holding records.
JPL IT Training Limited have been working alongside the staff in Red Hill Christian Centre since 2009. Initially the request was to deliver Access training. However, we soon found ourselves, jointly with the Red Hill team, developing their bookings database. The database is still in operation today. This Access system controls bookings for conferences and accommodation and meal bookings. We have also, since the original design, met with them several times to update the system. As well as create enhanced reports where necessary.
Another Access project has been with Dawn Foods in Evesham. We have worked alongside staff at Dawn Foods to help them put together a database for their business. Staff were trained in the different stages to follow to build up a database to hold all the products that they produce and distribute. The 2-day course was run on their premises with staff finishing on the second day feeling more confident in their use of the package.
JPL IT Training Limited have also been working with Connop and Son Ltd in Herefordshire. In a very similar way, we engaged with their staff into designing and then developing a sample database. Used to hold their data records. The project with their database is continuing on their site from December 2017.
JPL IT Training Limited has been working alongside the staff in Clesse in Drakes Broughton since 2011. We conduct assessments on new staff with regard to their IT competency. We then develop a training programme with the management for their improvement in the Microsoft Office modules. Often this has involved a regular monthly visit to their site. During which we will work to train staff at all levels and abilities. Some bespoke work has included the writing of various databases in Access to help control some of their testing and service systems.
How are the Microsoft Access training courses structured?
Our Access courses are a basic level split up into 2 whole day courses. Day 1 ensures attendees understand the basics of how to create a database from scratch. Where day 2 builds on knowledge learned in day 1 and also skills on how to create reports and queries from an existing database.

Definitely. The content of our Access training courses transfers across and is compatible with any future updates of Microsoft 365. As well as this though, our Access 365 training courses are reviewed regularly to ensure any new tools and features are not missed out.
