Word useful features part 3 – do you know any of these? Watch the video to learn more
This week’s hint and tip is on Word useful features part 3. In this third part we are covering the find and also the replace options. These are covered in our Basic Word course but we decided to do a hint and tip on them as well. We are going to go through them now below.
The find option
This option allows you to search for a word or phrase in your documents. It is especially useful for when you are working with large documents that would take a while to find something in. The find option allows you to type in what you are looking for and it will bring up a list or results of instances where the word or phrase is found in the document.
The replace option
This option allows you to find a word or phrase in your document and then replace it with something else. This can be useful if a name is spelt incorrect or if a word has been used that needs to be changed. There are two options, to either replace or replace all. The replace option allows you to individually replace each instance of the word you’ve searched for. Whereas the replace all will find all the instances of the word and replace them all in one go for you.
The video below shows you how to use both of these little useful features in your Word documents. These features might appear small but they will help a lot when you are working in large documents!
Take a look below at the video to find out more and then try them out on your own computer!
